Dear Parents,

We have come to the final week of our summer football. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support this summer and their continued support during the upcoming season. This week Hickman high School has the honor of hosting East Saint Louis High School for three days of organized team activities or OTA’s. These OTA sessions are intended to make us better fundamentally and to help us grow as a team.  Your son’s attendance is paramount is our success. East St. Louis will arrive Wednesday August 24th and we will practice here at Hickman High. After the Wednesday practice I have asked the Touchdown Club to sponsor a barbeque for both teams. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. I have placed the itinerary for the week below and invite you to come out and watch practice. After Friday we will enter our mandatory dead period. Our next event will then be a mandatory meeting conducted by the Athletic Directors office on Sunday August 11th at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium at Hickman High School.

Week’s itinerary

Monday July 22nd  Practice 5:30-8:30
Tuesday July 23rd Practice 5:30-8:30
Wednesday July 24th OTA with East St. Louis from 6:00-8:00 with BBQ following practice

The Kewpie Card

The Kewpie card is a discount card that the Hickman Football team started selling about 17 years ago. The benefits from the sell go to support the Hickman Touchdown Club. Interestingly enough Hickman was the first school in the Columbia area to sell the cards and the sells were so successful that many schools and booster clubs have followed. This year our card will be considerably different than the cards being sold. We will also raise the card price to $20.00 of which the Hickman Touchdown Club will receive $14.00. All of the proceeds go to support the team in its endeavor as it has this summer. Please help the team make the card sells as successful as possible. As always thank you for your support.

Note about this week (July 15-19)

Hello All,

I would like to start out by thanking everyone for their support this weekend and also thanking those die hard parents who made the trip to Memphis. I would also like to thank all of the parents who got up early Friday to bring their son in for the Memphis trip. Our next event is the Webster Grove Football camp on July 18th and 19th. We will be taking the whole team to this camp and the cost is $50.00 per player. Please make all checks/money orders out to the Hickman Touchdown Club. We will start padded practices Monday July 15th – 17th from 5:30-8:30. We will be departing for St. Louis Thursday and Friday Afternoon at 3:30 pm. Our scrimmages begin at 6:00 and should be completed by 9:00. Parents are welcomed to attend. Again thank you for your continued support.
